PwC was criticised by the UK accounting regulator for using loopholes to sell lucrative consulting services to its audit clients – a practice discouraged since the Enron scandal.
The Financial Reporting Council on Monday singled out the firm in the UK for its practice of allowing senior partners involved in making key audit judgments – but outside the audit department itself – to sell advisory services to audit clients.
