The choice may not always be that straightforward but at times like these security certainly looks to have the upper hand… The latest Career Benchmarking Study from specialist recruitment firm Robert Half and the ICAEW shows that 28% of those looking to move in the next 2 years would look at government, charity or not-for-profit, despite an overall average salary in that area of £55,400. This compares with an average of up to £95,300 in the banking and capital markets sector.
