The latest Career Benchmarking Study from specialist recruitment firm Robert Half and the ICAEW shows that 28% of those looking to move in the next 2 years would look at government, charity or not-for-profit, despite an overall average salary in that area of £55,400. This compares with an average of up to £95,300 in the banking and capital markets sector.
