Record Breakers – UK’s July Defecit

Britain had an 8 billion-pound budget deficit in July, the largest for the month since records began in 1993, as the recession ravaged tax revenue and the cost of unemployment benefits surged (Bloomberg).

So whilst as a country we can merely hold our head in our hands through the proverbial u-bend; as individuals we can take some masochistic delight in seeing the taxman lose out at the same time.

Have to look for the silver lining right…
