Like Begbies Traynor who have said statistics from recessions over the last 40 years show insolvencies peak between one and two years after GDP stops shrinking.

“Evidence is mounting that we may be at the mid-point of a ‘W’ shaped recession, with a deluge of business failures likely in 2010.”

So the green shoots may have popped out too early with thick frost forecast ahead.
