Economic Crisis Means Boom Time for the Mob
Someone has managed to figure out the Mob’s accounting practices…
And figures show that the Italian Mafia made a ‘profit’ of 8 per cent last year at a time when the country’s economy shrank by almost 5 per cent.
The Mail: The groups made an estimated 135billion euros (£117billion), reaffirming their position as the country’s biggest ‘company’.
The figures have been published by Confesercenti, the small business and shopkeepers’ association which has borne the brunt of Mafia extortion and crimes.
Guess dirty money is better than no money.
