London Philharmonic’s Former FD Hit With £2.3m Court Order
Facing the music following allegations of fraud…
Looks like another financial fiddler has succumbed to temptation. Aussie, Cameron Poole, the Orchestra’s former finance director, allegedly defrauded the publicly-funded company to fund a lavish lifestyle, refurb his house and make trips back to Oz.
Telegraph: Counsel Andrew Thomas had said that legal action began a few days after the LPO’s employees uncovered to their shock and dismay ”compelling evidence of a substantial fraud” by Mr Poole.
”In short, Mr Poole made payments to third parties – to make payments in respect of refurbishment and a rear extension to his property, jewellery, artwork, flights, books, clothing and other items and services – using the claimant’s cheques and credit cards.”
Before landing the hefty court order, the guy had already received the ignonimity of being booted out by his wife the day he received the summons.
