Who do they expect do do all that tax collecting in their absence?
Accountancy Age: HMRC staff are staging a walk out as part of union moves protesting against redundancy pay changes.
The Public and Commercial Services union has advised up to 270,000 civil servants including Revenue workers to down tools for a 48-hour strike.
Aside from that, even if they were in the office, HMRC workers are understood to be so demoralised that the Treasury Committee now is worrying about employee engagement and its effect on performance.
There’s a certain irony about a group of people striking over money they might not receive but which relies on them to ensure it is there in the first place.
