Unimaginative Accountant Busted in $13m Fraud
Ok so you’ve gone to the trouble of robbing $13m from customers of your tax return business, what do you splurge on…sports cars, a boat?
How about a whole fleet of limos?
Sacramento Business Journal: Sacramento accountant William Murray, 55, pleaded guilty to mail fraud and tax charges in relation to his theft of more than $13 million, and he was immediately taken into federal custody Tuesday.
He faces 20 years in federal prison.
Murray used money from the customers of his tax return business, Murray & Young, to finance an extravagant lifestyle, which included a fleet of limousines.
Ok so they weren’t the only things but come on, would that be the prize trophy in your horde of fraudulent assets? 20 years in prison for a fleet of limos FFS!
